Taking graduate courses without a degree plan

You may take graduate business courses as a non-degree student on a space available basis if you fall into one of the following categories:

You are an applicant to the Business School

If you have completed a baccalaureate degree at an accredited institution and your cumulative undergraduate GPA is 3.0 or higher*, but have not taken the GMAT test.

In this category, you are allowed to take one or two courses (a maximum of six credit hours) in one semester only. After one semester, you must be accepted to a graduate business degree program at the UC Denver Business School in order to continue taking graduate business courses.

As an applicant in this category you must:

You are currently admitted to an MBA or MS program at another regionally accredited business school

To take a limited number of classes at the at UC Denver Business School which will complete your degree requirements.

As an applicant in this category you must:

  • submit the Application for Non-Degree Admission (Parts I and II, including the Tuition Classification form),
  • a $25.00 application fee which is non-refundable
  • a letter from you dean or academic advisor stating that you are in good academic standing and that the requested business courses will be accepted for your degree program.

* Cumulative GPA includes all grades, including repeated courses.
