Proposed MS in Global Energy Management
Please note: this is a proposed program. If approved by the Regents of the University of Colorado the program is proposed to begin in January of 2009 . The Master of Science (MS) in Global Energy Management (GEM) is designed to educate future leaders in global energy management and support management succession for the energy industry worldwide. As a major energy hub for the U.S. and Canada, Denver is positioned to create the synergy needed for this successful venture.
The Curriculum
The curriculum and its content are tailored by the GEM Advisory Board and Business School faculty to collaboratively meet the needs of the energy industry worldwide. Top faculty with industry expertise together with industry leaders will deliver the curriculum. Courses meet physically the first week (40 hours) each term with the remainder of the coursework completed online. Students will work in teams – problem solving real world energy issues. As a cohort program the semester long courses are structured on a calendar quarter basis. Students can complete the entire program in eighteen months.

- Advanced Financial Management in the Energy Industry
- Energy Asset Management
- Production and Supply Chain Management for the Energy Industry
