MS in Decision Sciences

Learn to apply quantitative methods to real-world problems using modern methodologies adopted from statistics, operations research, and management science.  Today companies in every conceivable industry are reaping the benefits of using formal mathematical models to assist them in addressing complex business problems.

The MS in Decision Sciences focuses on modeling and applications which prepares you for a career as a Decision Science specialist in industry or government and bridge the gap between Operation Research specialist and management.

Program Overview

When you get your MS in Decision Sciences you are trained in a wide range of business-related quantitative methods.

Begin with training in the foundations of Decision Sciences thorough six required courses.

Then choose four electives depending on your professional interests and career path. Your electives include current topics in business decision-making such as supply chain management, data mining, and quality and process improvement.

Use your skills to solve real problems

A local Denver business will pose a real, substantive organizational problem that can be addressed using Decision Sciences techniques. Under the supervision of faculty, you will propose solutions to the problem and present your findings to the sponsoring company. In this practicum you will gain valuable workplace experience prior to graduation.

The Master of Science degree in Decision Sciences is a 30-credit hour, 10-course degree program. If you are a working adult student pursuing an education part-time you can expect to complete the degree in two years.
