The interaction that CITI facilitates with real-world subject matter experts really accelerates the transition from student to professional.  By taking advantage of the recent experiences of professionals in similar careers, students are able to enter the workforce more prepared than their peers and immediately demonstrate value to their employer.

The CITI Mission

Collaborating with the business community is critical in support of the Business School’s initiatives and overall strategic direction. As part of the Business Schools strategic plan, understanding and advancing information technology as a discipline requires a collaborative effort between academics and business. Center (CITI) membership is the mechanism for forming sound and long term, lasting relationships between the Business School and the business community. In return for its annual membership gift, a member company benefits from access to a number of activities and services sponsored by (CITI) Members. In addition, there are many indirect benefits of their association with the University, such as peer networking and organizational visibility to the academic community.

Member involvement helps to build a strong infrastructure to attracting high caliber students and faculty to the University and to support the many activities and services of the institute. A strong, functioning Center generates benefits for all members.

To help organizations take full advantage of IT opportunities through programs of excellence in information interchange, education and research, and through collaborative initiatives
